This is the first strip that Doug and I created. The one that started it all. I sent him the idea and script way back on February 1st. One day later he sent me this strip. The hardest thing about making this one, believe it or not, was spelling "owlery" correctly. We had it spelled wrong for over a month before we realized our mistake. Then, as it was being finalized, we spelled it wrong in the title of the comic. Even though it was spelled correctly on the sign :P
If I ever became a wizard, I think I'd still take my cell phone...and playstation...and computer. What? Don't judge me. How else am I going to play Portal 2?
Actually I would say that Thornsaddle is a more progressive school and that they have spells in place that make sure magic doesn't interfere with electronics. When you think about it, what's wrong with muggle tech and magic mixing anyway?
Also, to be fair, the HP books take place before 1998. I would bet that it's safe to say that most of the students, including the muggle-borns, didn't carry electronics like cell phones and laptops, which you are pretty much guaranteed to see this day-in-age in any high school.
If you think about it since wizarding schools probably don't have a lot of wireless devices running on the same frequencies they probably get great cell phone reception.
Mr Belsole, for making fun of this horrible act of cruelty to beautiful animals, I'll have your playstation, computer, phone, mp3 player, tv, dvd player, microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven (no more cooking!), comic books, bed, all your socks and pants, and pretty much ALL your possessions and your house evaporated. So I hope you still find this comic amusing when you're sitting on a rock on the desert like Mal Reynolds.

My only troll comment is that owls don't have beaks that long :P Otherwise, can't wait for more from you two :)
AWESOME!
According to this picture of a barn owl skeleton, YUH HUH! ;) I did my research dangit.
